Sara Jane
Sara Jane Souliere is Anishinaabe from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory along with family ties to Serpent River First Nation. She is the founder of SL Indigenous Advisory Services, a 100% Indigenous-owned consulting practice grounded in cultural values, respect, and relationship-building. With over 18 years of experience in Indigenous relations, energy, and law, Sara Jane has dedicated her career to bridging the gaps between Indigenous communities, government institutions, and the corporate sector.
Sara Jane’s approach is rooted in her lived experience as the daughter of two residential school survivors and in her deep commitment to improving outcomes for Indigenous Peoples. She has worked alongside Indigenous communities across Ontario and beyond, always centering community voices in meaningful engagement, consultation, and partnership processes.
Her work spans a wide range of sectors including clean energy, infrastructure, municipal planning, and economic development. She has led Indigenous engagement on major transmission line projects, supported negotiations on partnership agreements, advised on reconciliation strategies, and helped shape Indigenous participation plans and policies for public and private organizations.
Sara Jane holds a Bachelor of Law with a focus on Aboriginal law and a Master of Law in Energy and Infrastructure from Osgoode Hall Law School. She is also a recent graduate of the Tribal Leaders Program at Harvard Business School.
Whether delivering cultural competency training, advising on Indigenous procurement, or co-developing Reconciliation Action Plans, Sara Jane brings a compassionate, grounded, and principled approach to her work—always guided by the values of integrity, inclusion, and the wellbeing of future generations.

Joanna Osawe is a distinguished leader and advocate for a sustainable and inclusive energy future. As the President & CEO of Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE), she is at the forefront of advancing the role of women and underrepresented groups within the energy sector.
With a dynamic 15+ year management career spanning prominent renewable and energy companies across Canada and the United States, Joanna has a proven track record of steering complex projects from conception to completion. Her unique background in languages, holding an Honours BA from Western University, has provided her with a distinct advantage in navigating the intricate landscape of the global energy transition.
Recognized for her expertise, Joanna was appointed to the federal Sustainable Development Advisory Council, where she advises Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change. This role underscores her significant contributions to shaping national and international energy policy and her commitment to a resilient and equitable energy future for all.
